FRANKLIN – The 22nd Annual Strawberry Stroll is set for Friday, June 12th from 4 to 8 PM, with a rain date scheduled for Saturday, June 13th. Organizers say this year’s event will once again extend farther up Main Street to include Dean College and the Franklin Public Library, bringing even more activities and entertainment to downtown Franklin.
The family-friendly event will feature more than 100 vendors, live music, food trucks, community groups, entertainment, children’s activities, and fresh strawberry shortcake. Strawberry Stroll Chair Kevin Johnson says the expanded footprint has helped elevate the event into an even bigger community celebration, adding that he expects this year to attract “the most visitors ever to kick off the summer.”
Highlights include a Children’s Parade at Dean College at 5 PM, a Cultural Hub near the library featuring local arts and history organizations, a Touch-A-Truck fire truck display, performances from Feet in Motion School of Dance, the Desi Swag Queens, and live music from Heath Nisbett, Dom DeBaggis, and the Padula Family. MyFM 101.3 will also broadcast live throughout the evening. Organizers say visitors can enjoy food from downtown restaurants, specialty vendors, and the official Food Court while Dean Bank staff serve fresh strawberry shortcake topped with strawberries donated and prepared by Dean College.
