HOLLISTON – The Holliston Police Department has begun the process to become reaccredited through the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission. Chief Matthew Stone says the voluntary accreditation process ensures departments meet strict professional standards for policies and operations.
The review includes 257 mandatory standards and 125 optional standards, with state officials expected to spend three days evaluating the department in June. Stone described accreditation as “a highly prized recognition of law enforcement excellence.”
