HOPKINTON – Hopkinton officials say excessive water use remains a concern as the town continues under a Mandatory Water Conservation order. The Department of Public Works has identified residents with higher-than-normal water usage and plans to send letters encouraging conservation and reviewing ways to reduce consumption.

Officials say the outreach is meant to help protect the municipal water supply during ongoing drought conditions. Residents who do not receive a letter are being thanked for their continued conservation efforts.
