WESTBOROUGH – Several local police departments will soon take part in advanced training for high-risk situations at no cost to their towns. The Community First Project, a nonprofit organization, is providing free critical incident response training to departments in Westborough, Northborough, Southborough, and Grafton.
According to the Community Advocate, the program covers scenarios such as active shooters and other high-risk emergencies. While the training is valued at about $99,000, it is being fully funded through support from the Westborough Police Foundation and local private businesses.
