HOPKINTON – One person was injured following a crash Tuesday morning on I-495. Emergency crews from Hopkinton and Westborough responded around 7 a.m. to the southbound side near West Main Street, where a person was trapped inside a pickup truck.
Officials told the Hopkinton Independent that the situation was made more challenging as off-duty firefighters had to be called in for coverage due to minimum staffing, while another emergency—a brush fire on Hayden Rowe—was happening at the same time, with assistance from Southborough Fire.
