FRANKLIN – A former Franklin woman is facing arson charges in connection with a house fire last November. Authorities say 48-year-old Melissa Brown is accused of setting fire to her Maple Street home, which caused extensive damage.
Multiple departments, including crews from Milford, Medway, Hopkinton, and Bellingham, responded to the scene. Brown was the only person inside at the time and refused medical treatment, while two cats were found deceased. She was later arraigned in Wrentham District Court.
