HOPKINTON – The head of Hopkinton’s Water and Sewer Department is reminding residents that the town is still under a Level 3 Critical Drought, meaning outdoor non-essential water use is prohibited. Director Jed Fenneuff says it is “imperative that all residents and businesses follow the rules” to help conserve the limited water supply.

The situation is made more urgent as Well #6, the town’s highest-yield well, is currently offline for maintenance, further reducing available water. Officials stress that strict compliance is necessary to protect the town’s water resources during this period.
