Northbridge’s girls lacrosse team kept its strong start rolling Monday afternoon with a 13-9 win over Worcester. The Rams followed up their season-opening 18-2 victory over Assabet with another impressive offensive showing, proving they can score in bunches and control games early in the year.

Elly Schoser led the Rams with six goals and was the biggest difference-maker on the field. Lily Proto and Grace Haden each added two goals, giving Northbridge balanced scoring across the lineup and making it difficult for Worcester to key on one threat. The Rams created consistent scoring opportunities and stayed in rhythm throughout the afternoon.

Worcester did have its own offensive moments, with Chloe Gervais scoring four goals in the loss, but Northbridge answered repeatedly and never let the game swing too far in the other direction. The Rams have now produced two high-scoring results to open the season, which is a strong sign for the weeks ahead.

Northbridge will look to keep its offense humming when it faces Notre Dame next Thursday at 4:30 p.m. If the Rams continue to move the ball well and finish at the same level they have shown in their first two games, they should remain one of the area’s most dangerous teams.
