WHITINSVILLE — Sparetime Recreation is looking for bowlers to join a new Sunday Night Speed League, offering a faster-paced candlepin bowling format this fall.
The league will bowl on Sunday nights beginning at 6:30 p.m. and will feature three-person teams, an 80% handicap and five strings of candlepin bowling each week.
The cost is $40 per week, with $15 going to the house, $10 toward a weekly prize and $15 placed into an end-of-season prize pool.
The top two teams will qualify for the playoffs at the end of the season.
League play is expected to take place at Sparetime Recreation and Sawyer’s, with the official start date still to be determined. Organizers say the start will depend on reaching at least 16 teams or the discretion of the league director.
Sparetime Recreation is located at 117 Church Street in Whitinsville.
