HOPKINTON – Drivers should prepare for overnight road closures as work continues on the major reconstruction of the I-495/I-90 interchange. MassDOT plans to shut down the ramp from I-495 to I-90 westbound between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m., with possible additional closures the following night.
Traffic will be rerouted onto I-90 eastbound to Route 9 to reverse direction back to I-90 westbound. The project aims to improve safety at one of the region’s busiest interchanges, which carries hundreds of thousands of vehicles daily.
