BLACKSTONE – The Town of Blackstone has received more than $100,000 in state funding to support energy efficiency upgrades in public buildings.

Officials say the Green Communities Competitive Grant will fund several improvements, including a new $40,000 heat pump system at the Blackstone Historical Museum, weatherization work at both the museum and the public library for $61,000, and administrative support for additional energy-related projects for $5,000.

Town leaders say the funding will help improve efficiency and reduce long-term energy costs.
