Medway’s deep postseason run ended with a 55-38 semifinal loss to top-seeded Bishop Fenwick, a game in which the Crusaders leveraged interior size and disruptive defense to control the tempo. The Mustangs battled, but Bishop Fenwick’s tandem of scorers proved difficult to contain.
Guard Anna Freeman and wing Regan Longval each finished with 10 points while forward Brooke Parlon added nine, but those outputs were not enough to match Bishop Fenwick’s production. For the Crusaders, Caitlin Boyle scored 15 and altered shots on defense, and Celia Neilson erupted for 22 points and recorded 11 steals to tilt the game decisively. Medway showed resilience at times, including a second-quarter push that narrowed the margin, but the Crusaders’ consistent two-way play kept the Mustangs at bay.
Reaching the final four marked a significant step forward from last season, and Medway should take pride in the deep run and the experience gained by underclass contributors. The program will build on this foundation in the offseason as it seeks to return even stronger next year.
