HOPKINTON — State agricultural leaders will visit the Hopkinton Winter Farmers Market this weekend as part of a statewide tour.
Department of Agricultural Resources Commissioner Ashley Randle and other officials are expected to tour the market Sunday while visiting several winter farmers markets across Massachusetts.
Town officials told the Hopkinton Independent the visit will highlight the variety of locally grown foods and farm products available during the winter months and allow officials to meet the farmers and organizers who support the seasonal markets. Hopkinton’s winter market returned last year after a ten-year hiatus.
