BOSTON – Boston blues-rock band Delta Generators will release their new album, On & On, on May 22nd, delivering a project that captures the band’s signature roots-driven sound. To celebrate, a performance at the Spire Center for the Performing Arts in Plymouth will take place on the album’s release date.

Formed in 2008, the band welcomed lead vocalist Brian Templeton in 2016. Since then, the group has continued to evolve while maintaining its blues-rock foundation.

Rather than striving for studio perfection, the band chose to record the album live. According to Delta Generators guitarist Charlie O’Neal, this was intended to keep the album “a little rough around the edges”, amplifying the project’s raw, natural sound.

The writing and recording process moved quickly, with the material developed in just over a week before being tracked in two days at Power Station in Waterford, Connecticut. The pace, they said, helped the music come together naturally.

“We just decided to get into a room, see what comes up musically, and if something sounded good, run with it,” said Brian Templeton. “Let’s let it be what it is.”

Templeton described the experience as creatively affirming.

“For me personally, it feels like it was meant to be,” mentions Templeton.

After years performing as a solo artist, joining Delta Generators offered Templeton the chance to focus solely on his role as a vocalist within a tight-knit unit.

“It was a thing of joy,” according to Templeton. “Either we sink or we swim together.”

O’Neal, who has been playing since age 12, said his lifelong dedication to music continues to fuel the band’s chemistry.

“I just love music and making music… we have a really great musical connection,” he said.

That connection is especially evident during live performances, where audience interaction plays a central role.

“I love to play live,” Templeton said. “I like for them to sing, dance, and make a spiritual connection with them”.

Delta Generators will also release two additional singles, accompanying videos ahead of the album launch, and plans to tour Europe in August.
