Whitinsville Christian closed its regular season with a statement, routing St. Bernard’s 60-36 to finish with momentum and lock up a postseason berth. The Crusaders led 34-24 heading into the second half and extended that edge through sustained defensive pressure and efficient offense in the second half.
Gabe Deters paced Whitinsville with a 17-point, 11-rebound double-double, controlling the glass and finishing inside. Eamon Moloney supplied 16 points as a strong complementary scorer, while J.V. DaSilva scored eight in relief, and Ethan Curry added six to help round out a balanced attack. The Crusaders finished the regular season 5-1 over their last six games and sit at the No. 31 spot in the D4 playoff bracket.
Securing the win and finishing the year with confidence gives Whitinsville a platform as the Crusaders prepare for the Round of 32. The team will learn its opponent in the coming days and will look to its interior play and multi-player scoring to make a push in the tournament.
