MASSACHUSETTS – Waters Corporation has officially completed its acquisition of the Biosciences & Diagnostic Solutions businesses of Becton, Dickinson and Company.
The merger was first announced last fall, and company officials now confirm that all regulatory approvals and paperwork have been finalized, marking the full close of the deal. The acquisition further expands Waters’ footprint in the life sciences and diagnostics space.
Along with the completed transaction, Waters has also announced the addition of Dr. Claire M. Fraser to its Board of Directors. Dr. Fraser is a globally recognized genome scientist with more than 30 years of experience leading large-scale research organizations. She is the founder and former director of The Institute for Genome Sciences and has been widely credited for advancing genomic research and innovation.
Company leaders say the acquisition and board appointment position Waters for continued growth and leadership in scientific and diagnostic technologies.
