FRANKLIN — A man who fled from a Franklin police pursuit has been involved in a serious crash in Mansfield that left another driver severely injured.
Franklin Police were called Monday morning to a business on East Central Street for a report of a man causing a disturbance. Officers say the man allegedly struck several vehicles in the parking lot before fleeing the scene.
Police briefly pursued the vehicle along King Street toward I-495 but terminated the chase due to safety concerns.
About 20 minutes later, authorities say the same vehicle crashed into a pickup truck in Mansfield. The driver of the pickup was ejected from the vehicle and had to be flown to a hospital with serious injuries.
Police say several charges are now pending against the Franklin man as investigators from multiple jurisdictions work together to piece together the full sequence of events.
