HOPKINTON – Hopkinton has received a $20,000 grant aimed at strengthening the town’s water conservation outreach and education.

The Town Manager says Hopkinton was awarded a Water Management Act grant from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection to support a range of public outreach initiatives. Planned efforts include developing an enhanced Water Conservation Education Plan and expanding education at community events such as Recycle & Reuse Day in April and Annual Town Meeting.

The grant will also support the Hopkinton High School Environmental Club’s pollinator garden project, which will feature drought-resistant landscaping designed to promote sustainability while reducing water use.

Town officials say the funding will help raise awareness about responsible water use and encourage long-term conservation practices across the community.
