MASSACHUSETTS – Forecasters are getting a clearer picture of how much snow the region could see from a winter storm expected this weekend. The National Weather Service says while some parts of Massachusetts could see totals as high as a foot and a half, our area is more likely to receive between 6 and 12 inches of snow.
The storm is expected to begin Sunday morning and continue through Monday afternoon, bringing the potential for hazardous travel conditions and widespread disruptions. Residents are encouraged to plan ahead, as many schools and businesses are likely to be closed on Monday, and possibly even Tuesday, depending on how the storm unfolds.
Officials advise keeping an eye on updated forecasts and preparing now for snow removal, travel limitations, and possible power outages.
