Tri-County’s boys hockey team has been on a roll, stringing together three straight wins and producing a statement 8-1 victory over Blue Hills Regional that showcased the roster’s depth. Colby Scarsciotti led the way with a hat trick and an assist, Kyle Daly added two goals, and Trevor Johnson served as the primary creator with four assists. Walter Corcoran chipped in three helpers to round out the offensive display.
Earlier in the week, Tri-County recorded a tight 2-0 win over South Shore Vocational, where CJ Cobb and Caleb Scarsciotti provided the two game-deciding goals, and the Cougars’ defensive game plan stifled the Vikings’ chances. The string of wins has Tri-County sitting at 5-4 and feeling confident heading into tonight’s matchup against Upper Cape Cod RVT (1-7). The game at Franklin’s Pirelli Arena (6:00 p.m.) offers the Cougars a chance to push above .500 and build momentum for the midseason stretch.
If Tri-County continues to get scoring from its top lines and play the disciplined defense that produced a shutout and an 8-goal outing, the Cougars could turn a solid start into a sustained run.
