ASHLAND – A Hopkinton man has been arrested following what Ashland Police describe as a serious assault near the Cost Cutters on Pond Street that left the victim with a major head injury.
Police say witnesses were able to provide a description of the suspect, who was later located near the Speedway gas station. Jadaius Figueroa is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and causing serious bodily injury, and his bail has been set at $20,000. The victim was flown to a hospital for treatment, and police have not released an update on his condition.
