HOPKINTON – The Hopkinton Tax Relief Committee is encouraging homeowners who are elderly or living with a disability to apply for help with paying their property tax bills. To qualify, applicants must be at least 60 years old or have a state-recognized disability, own and live in a home in Hopkinton, and meet certain maximum income requirements.
The Tax Relief Fund was established in 1999 by Hopkinton residents who wanted to help neighbors with very low incomes ease the burden of property taxes. The fund is entirely community-driven and exists specifically to support eligible residents who may be struggling to keep up with rising housing costs.
