Westborough DPW Tree Wardens Honored for Work with Public Schools

WESTBOROUGH – The tree wardens from the Westborough Department of Public Works have been recognized for their work supporting the town’s public schools and educating students about the environment.

Tree Warden Kyle Grendell, Deputy Warden Jeff Moore, and their team received the International Society of Arboriculture’s Gold Leaf Award for their efforts on school grounds. According to The Community Advocate, they were nominated by the school district’s director of buildings and grounds for not only improving school landscapes, but also for taking the time to teach students about urban forestry and the importance of tree care.
