Franklin Celebrates Ben Franklin Book Month This January

FRANKLIN – January is officially Ben Franklin Book Month in the town of Franklin, celebrating the community’s unique place in history as the birthplace of America’s first public library.

Library officials say the month honors Benjamin Franklin’s lasting belief in access to knowledge, literacy, and lifelong learning. Throughout January, community partners will host book-inspired programs, literary activities, and events for all ages that highlight Franklin’s history and love of reading.
