SOUTHBOROUGH — A man and woman from Worcester are facing multiple gun and drug charges after an early morning traffic stop on Turnpike Road.
Police say an officer pulled their vehicle over around 2 a.m. Thursday because it did not have a valid inspection sticker. During the stop, the officer learned that the driver’s license was suspended and the passenger did not have a license at all. As the vehicle was being prepared for towing, officers discovered a loaded handgun, a second loaded magazine, and a bag containing about 100 pills.
According to police, neither individual is licensed to possess the firearm or ammunition, and both were taken into custody on multiple charges.
