Matt Blood’s run at Uxbridge continued to build into program history this fall. Since taking over the Spartans in 2005, Blood has compiled 49 career wins, two undefeated seasons and a .770 winning percentage, a body of work that includes a remarkable 31-game winning streak from 2022 through 2025 and back-to-back D7 Super Bowl titles in 2023 and 2024.

This season represented a modest step back by recent standards; Uxbridge finished 7-4 and earned the No. 7 seed before bowing out to No. 2 Amesbury in the quarterfinals. The roster lost several high-level contributors after 2024, so the dip was not unexpected. Still, the Spartans showed resilience and competitive balance, and Blood’s leadership is widely credited for maintaining the program’s standard during the rebuild.

As Blood builds toward another championship push, he will aim to add to his program-record 49 wins and position Uxbridge back in Super Bowl conversations. The coach’s track record of sustained excellence suggests the Spartans will be contenders again as young players develop and the staff reloads for next fall.
