HOPKINTON – Some Hopkinton residents are banding together in a grassroots effort to keep the traditional holiday lights shining on the Town Common this year. The Hopkinton Chamber says that due to unexpected budget constraints, the Town is unable to cover the cost of installing the lights, prompting citizens to step in with a community fundraiser.
The campaign aims to raise $10,000, and organizers say they are already nearly halfway to their goal. Those wishing to support the effort can visit the crowdfunding site Spotfund and search for “Save The Lights” to learn more or contribute.
