HOPKINTON – A change is coming to Church Street, which will become one-way only beginning November 24.
According to Assistant Town Manager Lance DelPriore, the street will be redesignated for southbound traffic only in the stretch between Main Street and Church Place.
DelPriore said the decision follows longstanding safety concerns first raised in 2013 during the site plan review for the Hopkinton Public Library reconstruction, and again during planning for the Main Street Corridor Project.
Town officials say the new traffic pattern is intended to improve safety and traffic flow in the downtown area.
