The BVT Beavers closed the season with a statement 4-1 victory over Monty Tech in the State Vocational Tournament Championship, earning hardware and momentum heading into the Division 3 playoffs. BVT finished its season 5-10-2 while Monty Tech wound up 4-9-5, but the Beavers rose to the occasion when it mattered most.
Olivia Hall and Hayden Tobin each scored twice to lead the way, while Bella Beltramitis orchestrated the offense with three assists. Monty Tech’s Kaylee Hamilton accounted for the Bulldogs’ lone goal, but BVT’s offensive balance and opportunistic finishing proved decisive in the final.
Now seeded No. 31 in Division 3, the Beavers will turn quickly to the state bracket and host No. 34 Saint Bernard’s today at 3:30 PM. BVT will rely on its scoring duo and Beltramitis’ playmaking to try to extend the season further in the Round of 32.
The vocational title is a timely confidence boost; if Hall and Tobin can replicate their finish at the higher level, BVT could be a dangerous lower-seed spoiler in the opening weekend.
