The BVT Beavers boys soccer team answered a midseason lull with a pair of statement wins this week, starting with a 4-1 victory over Northeast School. After going 1-1-3 in their previous five matches, the Beavers needed a spark, and Joao Rosa, Lincoln Shaw, Ethan Braga-Sosa and Ryan Lauge each delivered a goal in a balanced offensive effort.

Khari Torku paced the attack as a facilitator, finishing the match with two assists and helping BVT generate consistent chances. The result against Northeast gave the Beavers the confidence they lacked during the slump and set the stage for a crucial follow-up against Marlborough.

BVT stayed hot and took down Marlborough 3-1 in a contest that mattered for both teams’ postseason positioning. Marlborough came in as the No. 28 seed in D3 soccer while BVT sat at No. 32, making the matchup effectively a playoff preview and a vital chance for BVT to solidify its berth.

,With back-to-back wins and a restored attacking identity, BVT looks poised to enter the playoffs with momentum. The Beavers’ balanced scoring and Torku’s playmaking will be important as they try to turn late-season form into postseason success.
