Franklin girls’ soccer continues its strong season, sitting at 11-4-2 and holding the No. 7 seed in Division 1. After a difficult 8-2 loss to Medfield late last month, the Panthers have reeled off an impressive nine-game unbeaten streak.

Last Saturday, Franklin dominated Wachusett with a 6-0 victory, paced by Lily Strong’s hat trick and backed by a superb all-around effort. Goalkeeper Cami Towers recorded a shutout with 12 saves, a performance that set the tone. The Panthers followed that showing with a 4-2 win over Mansfield, where Towers again stood tall and the offense continued to produce.

Franklin will try to carry the momentum into the regular-season finale against Bishop-Feehan, a monster test as the Shamrocks sit at 15-0-1 and own the No. 2 seed in D1 soccer. Finishing the regular season on a three-game winning streak would bolster the Panthers’ postseason outlook and prepare them for a challenging playoff gauntlet ahead.

The coaching staff will emphasize finishing and defensive organization in practice this week as Franklin prepares for the stern test of Bishop-Feehan. The Panthers will lean on Lily Strong’s scoring form and Cami Towers’ steady goalkeeping to set the tone heading into the postseason.
