The Uxbridge football team returned to form last Saturday night against Millbury after a tough overtime loss the previous week. In the prior week, Uxbridge dropped a tight game against the Auburn Rockets, 39-33 in overtime, a defeat that snapped the Spartans’ historic 31-game winning streak, their first loss since 2022. The Spartans are the reigning back-to-back D7 champions, and they reminded everyone of their pedigree last week.

Uxbridge got back in the win column with a 25-20 victory over the Millbury Woolies in a competitive affair. The Spartans were carried by Camden Lachapelle, who rushed for 248 yards on 26 carries with three TDs. Shea Paxton had a mistake-free performance at quarterback, tossing for 70 yards and one TD. Millbury’s Anthony Hernandez also turned in a big effort, rushing for 151 yards on 16 attempts with three TDs.

Uxbridge will face the BVT Beavers this Friday at 7 PM at home. The Beavers have struggled with consistency this season, sitting at 2-4 and coming off a 32-6 loss to the Rams. The Spartans will be the favorites and will look to rise up the D7 power rankings.
