The Franklin High School football team turned in a dominant defensive performance Friday night, shutting out Canton, 28-0.
The Bulldogs struggled to generate offense throughout the game, finishing with fewer than 75 yards of total offense and never reaching the end zone.
Franklin’s offense was led by wide receiver Iyad Fraifer, who hauled in five passes for 124 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Ethan Edmunds completed 9 passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns as the Franklin offense consistently found ways to move the ball.
The 28-0 victory gives Franklin another strong performance on both sides of the ball as the season continues.
Franklin will return to action Saturday afternoon when the team travels to Stoughton. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
