Nipmuc Girls Keep Rolling, 14-0-1 and Counting

The Nipmuc girls’ soccer team has been outstanding this season, sitting at 14-0-1 after a convincing 4-1 win over Medway. The Warriors have followed up last year’s D3 championship with near-perfect form, the lone blemish being a 1-1 tie with Weston early in the campaign. Since that draw, Nipmuc has ripped off an 11-game winning streak and recorded seven shutouts during that span, a run that speaks to both defensive discipline and attacking depth.

Against Medway, Nipmuc closed the door in the second half. Superstar Abby Mullins scored the fourth goal midway through the second half to seal the result and remove any hope of a comeback for the Mustangs. The team’s collective balance, from the back line to the attack, has made them extremely difficult to solve for opposing coaches. The Warriors now get a short break before facing Norton on Friday at 4 p.m. Norton comes in at 6-8-1 after a recent 6-0 victory over Millis, but Nipmuc will be an overwhelming favorite at home.

Beyond the numbers, Nipmuc’s season has displayed consistency: steady defensive performances, multiple shutouts, and finishing when chances arrive. If the Warriors maintain their form, they will head into the stretch with momentum and a serious claim as the team to beat in D3.
