HOPKINTON – A wreath is being blamed for a fire that broke out Monday at a home on Victory Lane.
According to Hopkinton Police, two officers were first to arrive and found that a wreath had caught fire from a candle. The homeowner tried to smother the flames with a fire blanket, but the fire continued to burn.
Officers Quinzani and Cappuccio used fire extinguishers to put out the flames before any major damage occurred.
No injuries were reported.
