The Nipmuc girls’ soccer team continued their unbeaten start to the season with a commanding 6-0 victory over Tantasqua on Monday afternoon. The Warriors were relentless from the opening whistle, with Anya Montano leading the charge. Montano turned in a career day, scoring four goals, while teammate Kenzie Ellis added two more to seal the decisive win.

Midfielder Lyla Hill served as the team’s playmaker, tallying two assists and helping push Nipmuc’s attack forward. On the other end, Nipmuc’s defense stood tall, shutting down Tantasqua’s chances and preserving the clean sheet.

The victory boosted Nipmuc’s record to 8-0-1, with their only blemish being a 1-1 draw against Weston earlier in the season. The Warriors have now rattled off five straight wins and will aim to extend that streak to six when they visit Auburn this afternoon at 4 p.m. The Rockets, sitting at 4-5 and coming off a 3-2 loss to Douglas, will provide the next challenge, but Nipmuc enters as the clear favorite.
