The Uxbridge Spartans football team was firing on all cylinders in their matchup with Oxford last Saturday night. Entering the game 2-0 and riding a state-leading 29-game win streak, Uxbridge lived up to lofty expectations with a dominant 48-14 victory that showcased its balance and depth.

Shea Paxton led the way, piling up 203 yards and four touchdowns through the air and on designed runs. Thatcher Sweeney was a reliable target and playmaker, hauling in 133 yards and three scores. On the ground, Camden LaChapelle ground out seven carries for 170 yards and three touchdowns, providing the explosive finishing punches that kept Oxford off balance.

The Spartans controlled every facet of the contest, special teams, line play, and the secondary, allowing the offense to operate with tempo and confidence. This result pushed Uxbridge’s streak to 30 straight wins and reinforced their status as favorites to repeat as D7 Super Bowl champions.

Looking ahead, the Spartans travel to face a struggling South squad this Friday. Uxbridge will attempt to continue its march toward a three-peat, but it’ll do so knowing every opponent will bring an elevated effort to try and end the streak. For now, the Spartans appear to have the personnel and the mentality to keep winning.
