HOPKINTON – The Hopkinton Public Library will soon see improvements to accessibility, thanks to new state funding.
At a meeting last week, the chair of the Commission on Disability announced confirmation from the office of state Senate President Karen Spilka that $60,000 has been set aside for the project. The upgrades will include new hand railings and a push-button entrance at the front of the library.
According to the Hopkinton Independent, the commission requested funding from the state after being turned down by the Community Preservation Committee.
