The Hopedale boys’ golf team has started its 2025 campaign in strong form, currently sitting at an impressive 12-1 record and riding a three-match winning streak. After opening with decisive victories, Hopedale’s only setback came in a narrow loss to the BVT Beavers, and the squad quickly rebounded to win tight matches against Keefe Tech, Whitinsville Christian, and Sutton.

Key contributors have been Colin Haynes, Brady Wajda, and Jacob Whyte, who combined to steady the lineup and produce medalist-level rounds. In the recent win over Sutton, Haynes claimed medalist honors with an even-par 36 while Whyte posted a solid 38. Those individual efforts helped Hopedale pull out a competitive 156-169 victory.

Despite four graduating seniors from last year’s strong group, Hopedale hasn’t missed a beat and enters matches with depth and balance across its cards. The Blue Raiders clinched a postseason berth with recent wins and will look to continue that momentum in their next contest against the BVT Beavers next Thursday at 3 PM. With consistent play from the top performers and useful contributions from the supporting cast, Hopedale looks poised to stay near the top of the region as the season develops.
