The Milford Scarlet-Hawks football team is on fire at the start of this fall season, ripping off three consecutive victories over Westfield, Leominster, and Wellesley most recently. Milford dominated Westfield in the opener and convincingly beat a strong D1 program in Leominster in week two. The Scarlet Hawks beat the Blue Devils 44-26 on the road in a game that saw Josh Buentello torch Leominster for 200 yards on the ground and three touchdowns.

Jason Stokes also added 80 receiving yards to help take out a strong Leominster squad. In Milford’s most recent outing against Wellesley, the Scarlet-Hawks held onto their 28-21 win despite a comeback effort. Freshman Ryan Atherton sealed the game after a costly fumble that gave Wellesley the ball with two minutes left down a touchdown. The Raiders rattled off three straight touchdowns after Milford’s dominant start, with a real chance to steal the game before Ryan’s first career interception sealed it.

Milford had contributions from the usual suspects in this one, with Josh Buentello pouring in 125 yards and a touchdown on the ground, with QB Vincent Loscerbo chipping in two touchdowns and Jason Stokes contributing an 80-yard touchdown run as well. Milford has looked excellent so far into the season, and will have a big test against Natick this Friday at 6 PM at home. The Natick Redhawks are also 3-0 this season and will offer some resistance against Milford.
