The Hopedale Varsity Golf team has opened its 2025 campaign in dominant fashion, jumping out to a 3-0 start. The Blue Raiders set the tone in their season opener against Bellingham, delivering a decisive 263–293 victory. Colin Haynes led the way with a steady round of 38, while Cam Vaillette and Trevor Lachiatto added rounds of 41 and 43 to pace the lineup.
In their second matchup, Hopedale was tested against Sutton but again came out on top, pulling out a tight 158–169 win. Haynes was at the center of it all once again, firing a 33, good for two under par, while Brady Wajda chipped in a key round of 41. That victory showed the team’s ability to handle pressure situations while still relying on consistent play from their leaders.
Looking to stay perfect, the Blue Raiders faced Nipmuc last night and delivered another strong performance. Hopedale earned a 174–185 win, with Wajda taking medalist honors after carding a 40. That sealed a third straight win to begin the year, giving the team momentum heading into tomorrow’s matchup with Douglas. With steady play from their top golfers and growing contributions throughout the roster, the Blue Raiders have quickly established themselves as a force to watch this fall.
