Mendon Road Bridge to Close July 25 for Long-Term Repairs Following Safety Inspection; Major Detours Announced for Uxbridge and Northbridge

Some big roadwork is coming to Uxbridge and Northbridge next week with the Mendon Road Bridge expected to be closed on July 25. Mass DOT says a recent bridge inspection noted some significant problems that require it to be closed. They say at this point they are not sure how long it’s going to be closed but it is “long-term”. MassDOT says for now the primary detour route will use Providence Road, Hartford Avenue, Mendon Road, Uxbridge Road and Hastings Street.
