The owner of a Franklin skilled nursing facility has been cited by the state for not properly paying workers. Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell says she issued a citation against William J. Segal, owner of Alpha Healthcare which is based in Swansea but has several facilities including the Cedarwood Gardens. She says in September 2024 nearly 500 employees were paid late and sometimes underpaid. The citation totals nearly $1.1 million and includes penalties and restitution for the workers.
