The Medfield Warriors boys’ lacrosse team saw its season come to a close in the Division 3 semifinals after a hard-fought 11-9 loss to fifth-seeded Scituate. The Warriors entered the game with a 15-3 record and the No. 1 seed in the bracket, while Scituate came in at 14-5 after a strong postseason run. The matchup lived up to expectations, with both teams trading goals throughout in a tightly contested battle. Medfield trailed 9-8 with under five minutes left before Scituate extended its lead with a crucial goal at the two-minute mark. The Warriors tried to mount a late push but couldn’t break through the Sailors’ aggressive defense. Scituate’s ability to win key possessions and generate consistent looks at the cage proved to be the difference in the upset. Despite the loss, Medfield’s season was full of high points, including three All-American selections. The senior class, including two of those All-Americans, leaves behind a lasting legacy. While falling short of a title bid, the Warriors again proved themselves one of the premier lacrosse programs in the state.
