A Medway native has been honored for his two-plus decades of service in the US Army. Lt. Col. Michael J. Marin has officially retired after 23 years of service which included four combat deployments and service on the Joint Staff and Army Staff. Marin began his military career as an ROTC cadet at UMass Amherst. At his retirement ceremony last month at Fort Myer in Virginia, Marin was presented with a U.S. flag that had been flown over the U.S. Capitol on April 19 which was the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Lexington and Concord. His parents, who still live in Medway, were able to attend.
