Today is the day the major construction begins to rebuild the Milford’s Central Street Bridge. The Town says the work to replace the bridge will take until the middle of October. Traffic will be detoured at Beach and Depot. Milford Police say that detour will push traffic onto other streets including Main, East Main, North Bow and South Bow. They say they are particularly concerned about how much traffic will be using Main so even if your drive does not normally include Central, you’ll feel it around the area.
