Northbridge Girls’ Lacrosse Drops 16–11 Decision

On senior night, the Northbridge Rams girls’ lacrosse team competed valiantly but fell 16–11 to the Tantasqua Warriors. Elly Schofer starred with eight goals, yet her herculean effort couldn’t overcome Tantasqua’s depth. The Rams’ attack showed creativity, crisp feeds into the crease, and a disciplined ride, but defensive lapses allowed the Warriors to pull away. This loss follows a 16–3 defeat to Lunenburg, dropping Northbridge to 1–9 and extending their losing streak to six. Their last win came on April 14 against Notre Dame Academy of Worcester, but recent struggles have underscored the need for improved transition defense and clear execution. Tomorrow at 3:30 PM, Northbridge hosts the Nipmuc Warriors (10–4), a potent squad riding a four-game winning streak. For the Rams to snap their skid, they’ll need to sustain possession, support Schofer with secondary scoring, and tighten defensive rotations. A home victory against Nipmuc would be a dramatic turnaround and a timely boost for the program as the regular season winds down.
