Warriors Rebound with Convincing 8–3 Win

The Nipmuc Warriors boys’ lacrosse team snapped a two-game slide with an emphatic 8–3 victory over the Tantasqua Warriors yesterday afternoon. After dropping tight contests to Oakmont Regional (10–9) and Grafton (10–3), Nipmuc entered this game eager to regain its footing. The break in action due to weather interruptions gave the Warriors a chance to regroup in practice, and they displayed that renewed energy from the opening draw. Nipmuc took control early, combining disciplined riding and quick clears to generate transition opportunities. Their offense was balanced, with contributions from multiple attackmen and midfielders. The defense complemented the attack by communicating effectively in the zone and forcing turnovers that led directly to fast-break goals. Goalie save percentages remained high, bolstering the team’s confidence and maintaining momentum. Today at 4:15 PM, Nipmuc will make up its postponed matchup against the East Longmeadow Spartans, a squad that arrives with an 8–3 record. That game represents a critical chance to push above .500 and strengthen the Warriors’ playoff resume. Next Tuesday at 3:30 PM, Nipmuc travels to face Blackstone Valley RVT, aiming to extend its winning ways and solidify its position as a postseason contender.
