Hopkinton Enforces Mandatory Water Ban Amid Drought Conditions

Hopkinton’s Department of Public Works is enforcing a mandatory water ban due to drought conditions. All outdoor water use—such as lawn watering, car washing, and pool filling—is prohibited until further notice. Hand-watering gardens and essential business use are still allowed. With groundwater levels dangerously low and fire risk high, the town urges conservation to protect the water supply. Violators may face fines or water shutoff.
