The Hopedale Blue Raiders softball team bounced back in a major way Tuesday night with a 15-2 dismantling of Whitinsville Christian. After suffering tough back-to-back losses to juggernauts Nipmuc and Uxbridge, where they managed only a single run combined, the Raiders’ bats came back to life. Olivia Barroso led the offensive charge with a triple and 3 RBIs, while Kenzie Reynolds added 3 hits and 2 RBIs. Delaney Vaillette also chipped in with 2 RBIs, highlighting Hopedale’s depth and ability to capitalize throughout the lineup. Although they didn’t quite match their earlier 24-0 blowout of Whitinsville Christian from earlier in the season, Tuesday’s win was exactly what they needed to restore confidence. The Blue Raiders improved to 8-2 on the year, continuing to set the tone for Hopedale’s spring sports program. With strong performances across the board, they look to maintain their momentum heading into Friday’s home game against Millbury. While Millbury has been inconsistent this season, Hopedale’s ability to bounce back after adversity shows that they’re still one of the teams to beat in the league. Another win would not only solidify their status but also provide a critical boost heading into the second half of the season.
